New Halloween Decor

I picked up a bunch of apothacary type jars at Goodwill, to use in my Halloween Kitchen decor.  I've only gotten two jars done, going to have to figure out what to put in the others.  Hopefully I'll have that done by next Halloween! LOL...

Jellyfish Tentacles  jellyfish_swimming_hg_clr.gif picture by HalfaCent

Jellyfish Tentacle jar.  The tentacles are made using Hot Glue, just squiggle lines of glue on your countertop, pull them up when cool, & drop into a jar of water.  I used food coloring in mine, but if you soak the cartridge from a highlighter marker in the water, it will color the water, & also GLOW under a blacklight.  ( Doesn't that ^ picture make you want to reach in there & push the top down properly?  LOL..... )

EB before Eye Balls

Next I took old eyeball balls I'd gotten at the dollar store a couple of years ago, & perked them up by painting them to be more realistic.    Why didn't I do that years ago?!!?!!!

Then tossed them into another jar filled with just clear water.... Actually there are 3 jars I put stuff in, & you can kind of see the 3rd one back behind & above the jellyfish stinger jar.  It needs some work, but at this point it just has a bunch of cheap mini skeletons stuck in it, I'm calling them goblin skeletons.  Not really sure what else to do with them, but I'm sure there has to be something I can do to make it look better!!!

Hope everyone has a Safe, & HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Hillary's Halloween Necklace....

The dd has been too busy with school & work to put her own Halloween necklace together, so I worked on it last night.  It went together much more quickly than mine did, since I'd already figured out how to put together all the danglies when doing my own.  Hers is very similar to mine, with a couple of slight differences.....

Hills Halloween

Shrunken skull & the sparkly glass gems added, witches hat, & jack-o-lantern left off.  Hill's fits more like a choker & the sides won't really show from under her hair, so we used plain black glass beads on the one side instead of the candy looking beads.

CloseUp HHN

Closeup of Hill's charms....  She says she wants tops in different coordinating colors so she can wear it everyday next week!  LOL.......

Side by side for comparison......

I had to custom make the connectors for both necklaces.

Finished connectors with spacer beads in place.

Evil walks among us...

Laughter, giggles, and a sweet smiling face

Reaching to catch a star, a life untold

The world ahead to discover, a wondrous place

If only we had known, if we'd been told

There is an Evil that walks among us

No warning signs of what may lurk behind

No bloody fangs, no scary eyes monstrous

Just trusting innocence that makes us blind

Friendly smiles so enticing, inviting

Now Somer ends, as a new life begins

Will the world be hers for the partaking

to unfold bright and bold, or too soon ends

Without a care, we are unaware

Beware, Evil is out there, beware.

Trick or Treat

  Haunted Couture Halloween necklace.

Halloween Couture

Finally put my Halloween necklace together, I Love how it turned out!  It's made with blown glass, swarovski crystals, & ceramic beads, along with handpainted wooden & clay eyes.    The dangling eye beside Frank is a wooden bead, & the eyes inside the Eye of Newt jar are baked clay eyes.
