| Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Things have been a little hectic around here. 1st things 1st, an update on the Dd's condition, since having the tonsilectomy, her skin is almost completely cleared up now, but we can't officially say the tonsilectomy had anything to do with it, until it's been clear for 6 months or so. Whatever, I Know it Helped!!! Unfortunately it didn't clear up quickly enough to be able to use the photos we plan to have professionally done on her yearbook page, but she & I went & had our own little photo shoot in St. Augustine yesterday, complete with outfit changes. I took over 100 photos, & almost all of them turned out really nice..... It was hard to choose which ones to use for her yearbook page. Here are a few of the pics she'll have on her page. This one was her fav, taken at Oasis Beach in St. Augustine & will be the background of her yearbook page, with small pics burned in along the right side & a message from her Dad & Me at the bottom.

| Hillary had her surgery to remove her tonsils last Friday, & is doing pretty well except the pain mediction makes her nauseous, & she's pretty much barfed on a daily basis since Friday. The surgeon said her tonsils were totally fried, & the Worst he had ever seen, & they definitely needed to come out. So to the specialist that said NO.... to taking them out... Maybe you should find a new specialty. We were both wishing we had taken our cameras along that day. The Pre-Op room was totally awesome, with the entire room including the ceiling being an Under the Sea mural!!! The wife of one of the anethesiologist that used to work there painted it 10yrs. ago, & except for a couple of chips on one wall where I think maybe the rocking chair hit it, it's still in amazing shape! She did an Awesome job painting it. The nurse that was in the room while Hillary was in recovery said that we could come back with our cameras on an afternoon anytime & she would let us take pics. So we will probably do that when Hill goes for her post op checkup, & I'll post pics of it then. Maybe I'll take note of the chipped areas when we take pics, then take my paints back & fix the damaged areas. Hillary has felt well enough to work on making a couple of necklaces while she's recooperating.
They're both made to go with specific outfits she has.... When we were at the ENT office before surgery, she was wearing the beetle necklace, & the receptionist fell in love with it, so she sold one to her & will be delivering it when she goes for her post op appointment.
| Since moving the game/hangout room from the shop to under the house Carol has needed a light fixture to hang over the kitchen table, so I gave her one I picked up in a garage sale a while back. For years I've wanted to decorate a little girls room in a Alice in Wonderland / Mad Hatter Teaparty theme & picked up the chandalier at a garage sale in anticipation of someday........ So far I haven't found a little girl to decorate for, but I suggested we do the teapot/cup chandalier anyway only in a country style to go with the theme of the hangout kitchen. Carol painted the chandalier black, picked up some teacups at the thrift shop, & already had a coffee pot she'd picked up at a garage sale a while back just because...... We decided to use it even though it didn't match with the cups because it was an electric pot & already had a hole in the bottom.
We took the chandalier apart removing the decorative center post & replace it with the coffee pot, we used a diamond tip tile bit to drill holes in the cups & saucers & mounted them to the chandalier. It was cute, but just really didn't match with the cups Carol had, then she remembered a teapot she had out in one of her flower beds & it blended perfectly with the cups. We may cut the old center shaft & put part of it back in under the teapot to raise the shorter pot up so it shows more....
Carol thought of cutting & putting simulated napkins on top of the saucers to dress up the plain bottoms that showed, & we hung a teaspoon from the center of the chandalier.
View from above.....
View from below.... The saucers were put on upside down so the decorative design would show when looking up at the chandalier from below. Mason Jar with a simple single bulb cord placed through a hole in the metal top to make a hanging light over the sink.
She has some sort of cracked beans in the bottom..... That's what we did this weekend.........
| Newest necklaces I've made.... I made these last week. Its some sort of dyed natural stone. (I forget what) The one with the pendent is slightly longer than the other one, so they can be worn together or seperately. Plus I made a matching bracelet, that of course can be worn as a bracelet, or used as an extender for either necklace to make them longer.
I made this pink frosted glass one tonight...... While it was storming & I watched Marley & Me. I know that movie has been out for a while, but it's the 1st time I've watched it. I don't care who you are, unless you just Hate Dogs, it's going to make you cry! So if you feel like having a good cry, that's the movie to watch!
